The upcoming PlayStation console could very well be Cerny’s platform of choice.
Mark Cerny, the lead architect behind the PlayStation 4, has nothing but warm words when speaking about the upcoming console. “It’s simply perfect. The controller is just the right size, the console fits nicely into my living room shelf and at a 399$ price point I can afford the console during a busy holiday season. Mark Cerny did an amazing job designing a platform that suits me”, Mark Cerny told a fully seated auditorium during his “Road to the PS4″ presentation last Friday.
During the nearly two hour long presentation Cerny covered a large range of issues, from how black and blue are his favorite colors to how social media will be integrated on the PS4.
“We’ve had lots of emphasis on community features and sharing. This is the perfect way for me to get more followers on Twitter”, Cerny told the crowd.
However, Cerny was quick to point out that even with the newly found focus on sharing, privacy is still going to be a priority. “At the end of the day, I want to be able to turn off the console, particularly the PS camera, so that I can do dark stuff in the comfort of my own living room. Cerny understands this better than anyone.”
During the Q&A session Cerny also revealed to the audience what PS4 game he looked most forward to playing.
“Definitely Knack. I’ve always wanted to play a game where I can incorporate ice, metal and other substances into my body, and finally there is someone brilliant enough to make it happen. Me.”
